Dr. James Walsh founder and
benefactor of Opera Worcester will be sincerely missed |

Dr. Walsh
was our first treasurer, past president, and long term benefactor and
inspirational guardian to Opera Worcester over our 37 years of service
to the Central Massachusetts cultural community. He died on July 17th in
Waterbury CT after a long illness. We were honored to have Dr
Walsh with us for a final remembrance at our April presentation of
Madama Butterfly, one of his very favorite operas. We and the
general community will miss him as a friend as well as a colleague.
