FAQ  Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Help, I can't find my tickets!
A:  We provide a manifest of all tickets with name and seat location.  Just go to the Hanover Theatre, identify yourself at the box office, a replacement ticket will be issued.

Q: How can I purchase tickets for the Fall and Spring Opera Worcester productions?
A: Tickets are on sale to the general public several months prior to each of two operas through the box office at the Hanover Theatre and via their web-site. Tickets are offered to Opera Worcester members at discount “Early Bird” rates for each opera separately, with mailings sent in early January and early June of each year.

Q: You used to sell Early Bird tickets for both the Fall and Spring operas, has this changed?
A: Opera Worcester offers tickets to our members twice a year now in January and June.  You can purchase tickets for both the Fall and Spring during the June offering, but there is no advantage.  If you purchase tickets for the Fall, we will send an announcement to you in January offering those same seats for the Spring.

Q: When does Opera Worcester mail tickets for the operas?
A: We mail tickets for each opera separately about one month prior to each opera.

Q: I am an Opera Worcester member.  If I do not purchase tickets for Opera Worcester during your Early Bird offering, can I retain previous seat assignments for a later opera?
A: In general, in our June Early Bird offering you will be able to buy the same seats you had for the previous opera.  If you order those seats, they will automatically be offered to you in the January offering.  If you fail to sustain your order for those seats, they may be allocated to someone else on a first come first serve basis, and will not be available to you again.

Q: If I cannot attend one particular opera because of sickness, travel, or compelling reasons can I retain my preferred seating location for a future opera?
A: We will handle such requests on a case by case basis.  If you have problems notify us by email, mail, or at our voice mail service in Worcester (508) 755-0895.

Q: I simply forgot to order my tickets on time.  Can you help me now?
A: Contact us by email, mail, or voice mail service in Worcester.  We will help if possible.  Remember that you can get your tickets through the Hanover Theatre as soon as they go on sale there a few months prior to each opera.

Q: I purchased ticket(s) but I can’t attend that opera.  What can you do?
A: Theatre tickets in general are not refundable.  We suggest you return the tickets to Opera Worcester as a tax deductable contribution, we are a credited non-profit organization.  We appreciate your patronage and we very much rely on contributions for our members and loyal supporters.
