OWI is dedicated to bringing fully-staged professional opera to the Worcester area audience and to take the Worcester area audience to other places where opera is being performed.

We offer student Scholarships to residents of Worcester County who qualify.

Our typical opera season consists of:

• Two fully staged operas at our home theatre, one in the fall and the other in the spring

• Usually a narrated preview and pre-opera food event previous to each opera

• Mid-summer trips to the Tanglewood outdoor amphitheatre for music and/or opera

• Occasional trips to summer music events along the Maine seacoast.

• Occasional trips to the New York Metropolitan Opera or the New York City Opera

• Occasional Opera Trips to Europe or other overseas opera venues

• Guided tours to Opera Festivals within the United States

• Catered bus trips to opera or music-related activities in other cities in Massachusetts or in the nearby states

• Informal get-togethers for music and refreshments, pool parties, concerts, lectures, and any number of other activities that might be interesting, enjoyable, and informative.
